Rules Of Play

  1. Lottery players must be 18 years of age or older, must reside in Ontario (and must be in Ontario at time of purchase), and must use a major credit card or VISA debit card to purchase. Credit cards that are used for payment must have an Ontario address. A valid email address is required to purchase ticket(s).
  2. Tickets will be available for sale online, beginning September 22, 2025 at: Trellis GBH specific webpage, using an online raffle system provided by Trellis. To purchase your tickets, visit the website and click ‘Purchase Tickets’.
  3. Tickets will be sold at the rate of: 100 for $100, 20 for $50, 3 for $25, 1 for $10
  4. Early Bird Draw:
    1. Ticket sales will end for the Early Bird draw on October 6, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST.
    2. The Early Bird Draw will take place on October 7th, 2025 at 12:00pm (noon) EST, using the random number generator online for a prize of $500.00 (paid by cheque).
    3. The Early Bird Draw winner will be notified by phone and/or email.
    4. Once the certified winner of the Early Bird Draw is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given the prize as outlined, which is $500.00 (paid by cheque).
    5. The winner’s name will be published on GBH social media as well as the Trellis 50/50 page.
    6. Prize winning ticket will be entered into the grand prize draw following the Early Bird Draw.
  5. Final Draw:
    1. Ticket Sales will end October 14, 2025 at 11:59pm EST.
    2. The Final Draw will take place on October 15, 2025 at 12:00pm (noon) EST, using the random number generator online.
    3. The Final Draw winner will be contacted by phone and/or email.
    4. Final Draw prize winnings will be 50% of the gross raffle earnings, paid by cheque.
    5. Once the certified winner of final draw is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given the prize (paid by cheque) as outlined in this set of rules, which is 50% of the gross raffle earnings. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
    6. The winner’s name will be published on GBH social media as well as the Trellis 50/50 page.
  6. After buying, patrons will receive a confirmation e-mail with their raffle numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.
  7. The winner of both the early bird and the final draw will have their name and winning ticket number published on GBH social media, the Grey Bruce Hospice website www.greybrucehospice.com, as well as the Trellis 50/50 page. Total prize winning for the final draw will be published here as well.
  8. Early Bird and final draw prize winners must provide purchaser’s name, address, phone, and email with picture identification for our report sheet and to claim their prize.
  9. By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser agrees to allow Grey Bruce Hospice to use their name and image without compensation for any promotional activity related to this or any future raffle or event.
  10. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
  11. Any unclaimed prizes must be held in trust by the Grey Bruce Hospice Inc. for a period not less than six (6) months from the date the prize was awarded. Grey Bruce Hospice Inc. must keep records of the attempts made to contact the winner as part of the documentation retained under the terms and conditions of the license. At the end of the six-month period, the total amount of the prize held in trust, including interest, must be included by the Grey Bruce Hospice Inc., in the gross proceeds of the lottery event with the approval of the Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
  12. Individuals involved in the lottery including with access to the online platform including but not limited to: Executive Director, Donor Relations Coordinator (fundraiser), Finance Coordinator, and their immediate family members will not be eligible to purchase tickets. All other employees and volunteers may participate in the game of chance.
